A Joyful Return: Welcoming Our Learners Back to School

The first week of May brought more than just sunshine to Eastleigh—it brought back the heart of Mary Happy Schools: our learners. After a well-earned school break, students of all ages returned with energy, excitement, and a deep sense of belonging. The joy in the air was unmistakable, and the school grounds quickly filled with the hum of conversations, laughter, and a renewed thirst for knowledge.

A Warm Welcome and Familiar Smiles

From the moment students stepped through the school gate, it was clear they felt at home. Teachers greeted them with warm smiles, and friends reconnected as if no time had passed. Notably, our younger learners in lower primary held onto their bags with pride and curiosity, ready to begin another chapter of learning.

In every class, from Grade 1 to Grade 9, teachers had prepared engaging lessons, vibrant displays, and structured routines. Thanks to their dedication, students settled in quickly. The first few days were not only about academics but also about re-establishing the rhythms of school life. This smooth transition helped learners feel safe, confident, and focused.

New Term, New Possibilities

With the new term comes new goals. Teachers are introducing fresh topics, practical activities, and co-curricular programs that stretch beyond the classroom. Whether it’s science experiments, language storytelling, or creative arts, the term promises a holistic and exciting learning journey.

Moreover, learners are encouraged to take ownership of their education. Through active participation, respectful discussions, and teamwork, they develop skills that go far beyond textbooks. As educators, we guide them not only toward academic excellence but also toward leadership, empathy, and integrity.

Celebrating the Small Wins

Throughout the first few weeks, we’ve already seen learners settle into a positive rhythm. From improved reading fluency to better class participation, the small wins are worth celebrating. These early signs of progress assure us that our learners are not just back in school, they are thriving.

As we move further into the term, we remain committed to offering an environment that is safe, nurturing, and grounded in both faith and excellence. With the support of our parents, the guidance of our teachers, and the enthusiasm of our learners, there is no limit to what this term can bring.

Welcome back, Mary Happy family. Let’s make this term unforgettable.
